NOAH, Oliver, Jack and Amelia were among the most popular baby names at Redland Hospital this year, but new parents also opted for unique names like Ocean and Winter.
Amelia was the most used name for girls born at the hospital, while Noah and Oliver were tied as the top names for boys.
Harper was the second ranked girls name with five uses and Isla third with four uses.
Unique names like Winter and Ocean were also popular with new parents, finishing fourth and fifth respectively among a crowd of other more common names like Charlotte and Madeline.
Among the favourite names for boys were classics like Jack, ranked second overall, and Elijah, ranked third.
Aiden, Arlo, Hudson, Leo, Byron, Luca, Charlie and Lucas also came in third with five uses, while Max, Carter, Sebastian, Harrison and Jordan finished fourth with four uses each.
More than 1700 babies are born at Redland Hospital each year.
Mothers were given the option of a water birth in 2020 after the expanded birthing unit was opened in March.
The expansion included an additional birth suite, three new birthing pools and the refurbishment of two birth suits and the maternity assessment unit.
