YMCA Victoria Point gymnast Jayde Beutel has placed second overall in her level at the Australian Gymnastics Championships in Melbourne.

Jayde also won a gold medal for vault and bronze for uneven bars.
The Cleveland District State High School student competed in the level 8 event at the championships.
Jayde’s Queensland team also won gold in the team event.
A total of 1447 athletes took part in the national championships held over 12 days.
Fifteen-year-old Jayde was selected for Gymnastics Queensland’s senior state squad earlier this year.
She was accompanied to the event by her coach Kellie Trask.
