Overawed initially, the Stingrays clawed their way back into the contest to be down 16 - 4.
The Jefferies twins weaving their magic with Owen sending his brother Lindsay in for the first Stingray try. The second half was similar to the first. Dominate in the tackles was Montel Hooper-Delaney. Defensively Zarah Sorensen, Chase McPherson and Rylie McMurtrie played soundly. Ryan Barrack's all round game was excellent. Fulltime Souths 38-4. Coaches Kieren Griffiths and Ed Lewis were pleased with the teams fighting spirit. The club thanked Lee and Lachlan Bruce, the Referees for their support all season.
The Under 10s gala carnival at Capalaba, the Stingrays finished the season with a powerhouse performance to beat Mt Gravatt. Star of the show was fleet footed Jyett Warner, who scored with four tries and a goal. Jason Clissold hit the line with vigour to add another try for the Stingrays.
Heavy duty players Bailey James and James Roarty, a goal were always looking for work. Aiding the side to the win were Lachlan Searle, Kendra Sinclair and Ryley Kaye. Coach Norm Manaena and First Aid Officer Ryan Roarty were proud of the teams last win of the season..
